Just returned from a relaxing break in Marvel lodge 12, booked through HoSeasons, and especially good value as they had a sale on. The lodge is superb......everything needed to make it a home from home, and the park is quiet and well laid out.
Most of the lodges are owner occupied, which gives the park a well kept and permanent feel. It is clean, tidy and quiet, with spacious grounds and a fishing pond. There are no facilities on site, but Withernsea is only 5 minutes drive away. The owner Will popped by to make sure that we had everything we needed, and brought a box of Malteasers and bottle of wine....a lovely gesture which was most appreciated. The lodge has a large decked area, though sadly the wind was a bit too brisk for us to sit out for long.
If you are looking for a totally relaxing break with peace and quiet and no noisy children, then this could be the place for you.
We have just arrived home from a week at Holderness country park & WOW it was fantastic.
We wanted somewhere nice and quiet to catch our breath and have a restful time we certainly did that.A beautiful kept park and even more beautiful lodge.
Every thing you could ask for and more.If you want a quiet and peaceful holiday/break this is the place we loved it that much we booked to go back in September.
Stayed in Marvel Lodge no 12. As soon as we walked through the door we were met with the wow factor. Superb lodge with all you need to settle in quickly.
We needed a break away after a difficult last few months and this certainly ticked all the boxes, and we were not disappointed. Not had chance to catch up with Will ( he may have knocked one evening but missed him ) but spoke to him on the phone and congratulated him on a very beautiful lodge and setting.
Apart from the distance from home being so far away would def be a place we would come to again. Would highly recommend it for a peaceful getaway for a couple.
We came along in May just to view the site and fell in love the whole atmosphere here. Nothing around really peaceful and quiet so relaxing I would highly recommend this place.
We now have a holiday home here Withersea is close approx 3 miles the beach from here approx 0.7 miles within walking distance.
Just stayed for a midweek stay with my parents. The lodge we stayed in was excellent I have to say one of the best. Everything was supplied including iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Nothing was needed except our suitcases.
The site itself is exceptional, clean and quiet. The fishing lake although small and bijou is just enough and a small walk away. We would definitely stay again.
